Rosa Voto is an Italian born performance artist living in Melbourne since 2003.
Rosa studied classical ballet in Firenze, Italy, before getting closer to the folk dances of her cultural heritage, Southern Italian and founding the Melbourne School of Tarantella in 2011.
Rosa works as a dance and cultural educator with primary and secondary school age children, incorporating elements of dance and movement therapy and dance theatre. She also runs programs for elderly and people with disability.
In 2013 Rosa directed the Community Theatre project TerraMare, funded by Moreland City Council, in which people with no performance experience told their own story of migration in a performance through dance and music.
Rosa has collaborated with many Australian Artists in the filed of music, dance and theatre.
Rosa is mother of Noah, age 10, and Isra, age 8. With her children she loves going for long bike rides, reading books, cooking, doing science experiments and art.
Vanessa Chapple is a performing arts director, artist and educator who works across the disciplines of theatre, dance, voice, sound-art and music Her creative works range from solo theatre for intimate settings inspired by personal story, to large scale community performance projects which provide opportunities for participation in the making and performance of live music and theatre and dance. Vanessa works with diverse communities; her work with children is underpinned by the recognition of the value of early childhood aesthetic engagement and free imaginative play for health and wellbeing. Vanessa’s sound and music arts practice focuses upon improvisation, play and investigations in the use of voice and movement and questions concerning identity formation and somatic experience. Vanessa offers voice and presence workshops with individuals and choirs and performance ensembles: she has worked with artists including Living Out Loud, The Trolls, Cocos Lunch, and she teaches music and movement classes to children in their early years. Vanessa’s collaborations include: with sound artist Catherine Clover in the performance ensemble The Birds (Liquid Architecture), Festival of Light federation bells performance with Polly Christie, bass player with Vardos; with Arts Centre Melbourne in as director of community performance for Play Me I’m Yours and as HOME facilitating artist, and as artistic director of The Art of Play project - Women's Circus, funded by VicHealth. Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Psychology, Post Graduate Certificate in Voice Studies VCA, Graduate Diploma in Movement and Dance, and trained at The John Bolton Theatre School. She is presently studying for an Advanced Diploma in Music.
Tania Dionisio is an ACA registered art therapist, counsellor and clinical supervisor working with youths and adults in private practice and community settings. With a previous career as a Fashion Designer, she unites her interest in the arts, mindfulness and therapies into various projects for clients (including NDIS), community health centres (including STAR Health, Inner East Community Health), Supported Residential Services (SRSs), aged care, and Universities both in Australia and overseas. Tania teaches Mindfulness and Health Enhancement (lifestyle) Programs at Monash University for various undergraduate courses (General Practice, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, I.T) along with tailored staff programs. In recent years she teaches counselling at Australian College of Applied Psychology.
Renato Colangelo was born in Melbourne, Australia 1976. Colangelo works predominantly in the medium of Photography, large scale installations and video. He completed his diploma of Visual Arts photo media at Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE and degree in Photo media in at Sydney College of the Arts.
In 2001 he was awarded The prestigious Anne and Gorden Samstag International Visual Arts Scholarship.
Renato's work remains focused and concerned with cultural identity, social awareness, anthropology and experimentation within different mediums.
